Day 21: 30 in 30: Every and Anything Series

"Abstract Geometric Kaleidoscopic Snowflake 4" Ink on Illustration Board, 6"x 6", Original Painting FOR SALE: $25.00 + $6.95 S&H
Goodness! We are less then one third of the way there and I've already missed quite a few days during this Challenge!

I took some time off because I just needed a break. It's tough keeping up, but I'll try not to miss any more days! :)

Today's painting is another black and white Kaleidoscopic snowflake. I really like this one a lot. I think the pure black and white ones are my favorites.

Day 13: 30 in 30: Every and Anything Series

"Abstract Geometric Kaleidoscopic Snowflake 3," Pen & Ink, 6"x6" Original Painting FOR SALE: $25.00 + $6.95 S&H
Hello everyone! It's January 13th, 2015 and today is Day 13 of my 30 Painting's in 30 Days Painting Challenge!

My theme for this 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge is "Every and Anything" and over the next 17 days I will be painting every and anything from landscapes, to pet portraits; from people portraits, to still lifes; and so forth! (To learn more about why I chose this theme click HERE.)

Today's painting is a pure black and white Kaleidoscopic Snowflake. I enjoyed drawing this one so much that I think I'll do a similar one just like it for tomorrow's post: Well, in black and white, I mean. The actual design will be a little different, however.

Actually I think for the next couple of days I'll do a whole series of black and white kaleidoscopic snowflakes. They'll all look really nice lined up on a wall together.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy today's painting!

That's all for now from the Blog of SamDoum Art. Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! Take care and God bless! 'Til later fellow art lovers!

Day 3: 30 in 30: Every and Anything Series

"Black & White Puppy Dog" Pastel on Illustration Board, 8"x 10", Original Painting FOR SALE: $75.00 + $10.95 S&H
Hello everyone! It's January 3rd, 2015 and today is Day 3 of my 30 Painting's in 30 Days Painting Challenge!

My theme for this 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge is "Every and Anything" and over the next 27 days I will be painting every and anything from landscapes, to pet portraits; from people portraits, to still lifes; and so forth! (To learn more about why I chose this theme click HERE.)

But just look at Day 3's painting! : isn't this cute 'lil black and white puppy dog adorable? Makes you just want to jump into your computer screen, pick him up, and cuddle and hold him, doesn't it?

This particular painting,
unlike my last two, was done using pastels. I enjoy oil painting, as well, but occasionally I like to switch it up a bit using different mediums. I simply just love the versatility of art! There are so many things in this life to paint and so many different ways to paint them!

Tomorrow, for Day 4's
30 in 30, I will be unveling another "Every and Anything"  painting and I have a bit of a surprise for you. But I can't tell you what . . . If you wanna know, stayed tuned and come back, here, to "The Blog of SamDoum Art" tomorrow!

Until then, 'Til later fellow art lovers! Take care, and God bless!

Leslie Saeta's 30 Day Painting Challenge: SamDoum's Day 28

It's Day 28 of Leslie Saeta's 30 paintings in 30 days challenge, and I have my new 28th Kaleidoscope in Ink painting for you today!
Kaleidoscope #28: 30 Day Painting Challenge: Day 28
$50.00 (+ 6.95 S&H) , 6"x10", Ink on Illustration Board

This one is a bit different than all the other kaleidoscopes that I've been doing. I decided to play around a little and to venture outside of my kaleidoscope comfort zone by doing a double kaleidoscope painting with some other types of design work that don't necessarily revolve all the way around the center of the painting. I would have to say that I'm quite satisfied with how this one came out and I can't wait to start doing more rectangular kaleidoscope works, as the ones in the past have all been square. And this one is done in classic black in white. But who knows, maybe tomorrow I'll do a rectangular color one! :)

Lastly, I'd like to thank all of you who have been reading my blog and following my artwork (old followers and new followers alike). I've met some really great people while doing this 30 day painting challenge and have even met some fellow artists who've been really encouraging, leaving comments under each blog post and writing such kind words. One artist, Joan Princing, was so kind enough to try out drawing her own kaleidoscope painting and posting it on her blog along with her normal daily painting for the challenge. I was so happy and flattered to see someone else try one out and I was so excited to see Joan's interpretation of what a kaleidoscope drawing looks like, especially because it is in her own style, which I love. Joan does a lot of vase faces in her art and some of those same faces which had been on her vases in her previous paintings were also in her kaleidoscope painting! If you don't know what vase faces are you'll have to go to here blog "ART is A Rhapsody Treasure" by clicking HERE. There are so many cool paintings to look at while you are visiting over there at her blog and I'm sure you'll spend a lot of time browsing her site, as there are a lot of fun, cool things to look at and see.

I hope you enjoy! 'Til later fellow art lovers!

Did you Know? . . .
Day 28: Kaleidoscope Fact #28: Though Brewster created the kaleidoscope which is a device which functions through the use of multiple mirrors, the ancient Greeks were the first to study the effects of multiple mirrors.
