Hello everyone!

It's Day 12 of the January 30 Paintings in 30 Days painting Challenge and I have my 12th painting for you today!

Two days ago I asked you all what kind of animals you thought that I should paint next: The responses were "elephants", "giraffes", and "kitty-cats". Yesterday I posted a painting of an elephant, which sold, by the way to a fellow artist by the name of Joan Princing (Thank you Joan!). Today, however, I have a painting of a blue-eyed kitty cat for you!

I painted this blue-eyed kitty-cat last night in my studio. At first I didn't like how it was coming out and almost scrapped the whole thing, but I kept working at it and eventually I came to like it a lot. All and all I think it's a pretty successful piece.

Tomorrow, I will be painting a giraffe! Stay tuned!

Hello! Good morning and Happy Friday!

I know that many of us are glad that the weekend is finally here! And I hope to put a little icing on that "weekend finally here" cake by unveiling, to you, my  Day 10 painting of the January Leslie Saeta 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge.

As you know, my theme for this challenge has been animals, and today's painting is a yellow-eyed tiger drawn in pastel (my favorite medium, of course).

I'ts hard to believe that we are a little under halfway through the challenge: We are one third of the way through the challenge, in fact. Just twenty more days to go and I will have succeeded with the challenge! Woohoo!

So far, it's been a lot of fun. This is only my second challenge and already I've been very fortunate have formed a lot of friendships with fellow artists in the challenge. And not only that, the support that I have received from other fellow art lovers, not necessarily artists themselves, has also been extremely encouraging.  I've received lots and lots of comments on this blog and also lots of "likes" on Facebook. And I am extremely thankful. Please keep the comments and "likes" coming and thanks for sharing the love! I really appreciate it!

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I posted a painting titled "Yellow Bird Perched," and today I have another painting of a yellow bird for you, though this one is perched on a branch in the snow. Though this one is mostly yellow, as well, he does not appear to be the exact same bird as in yesterdays painting. I felt this painting was appropriate for today because of the current weather in Pittsford, NY with all the cold and frigid temperatures, and the snow and all. I guess not all birds fly south in the winter. This little guy is staying put in his tree on a snow-covered branch.

Hello fellow art lovers!

I found this little guys photo on "Paint my Photo" and couldn't wait to paint him. He's such a beautiful little bird, isn't he? But I confess that I don't even know what type of bird he is. He is cute anyway.

It's still freezing here in Pittsford, NY. The girls wanted to go out yesterday to play, but couldn't because it's been advised by the news media that everyone remain indoors, if they can, as the weather is too cold and frigid. Hopefully, it'll warm up some later on throughout the week.
