Today marks the fourteenth day of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge! And I am super pleased and excited to present to you my fourteenth oil painting for the challenge titled "Silver Spoons with Strawberries" !

"Silver Spoons with Strawberries" is the fourteenth oil painting still life in my "Metal and Glass" series. Over the next 16 days, all of the subject matters for my paintings will consist of either metal or glass or both. I'm posting this one, like yesterday, more later in the day than when I usually post. I've really had to push myself to paint today, as, as I said yesterday, I've been a little sick. I'm feeling somewhat better, though, and think that I should be fine by tomorrow. Unfortunately, however, while I was trying to recover from my cold, I got my daughter Faith sick, as she caught my cold too. I'm not sure if she'll be well enough to go to school tomorrow, but I'm seeing her in better health today, than she had experienced yesterday.

Anyway, this is today's painting for day 14! Almost halfway there! Pheeeeeeew! It's been a lot of hard work, but I'm hanging in there! :)

I painted this little painting yesterday afternoon while the girls were at school. I didn't get to finish it then, so I waited until my little girls bedtime, at 8:00 p.m., and then painted for about an hour more, in order to finish it.

Wow! It's amazing: Today completes the first week of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge. So far, I'm hanging in there and haven't missed a day! :)

The kids going back to school has really helped! I can get some painting time in when they are in school during the weekdays. And that has helped a lot!

But the girls like to paint too! Last night we were all up until 11:00 p.m. listening to music, dancing and painting in the basement of our new home! :)

They are really sweet, kind, smart, talented and beautiful girls and I feel so blessed to be their mommy! It truly is a blessing!

Strawberries On A Plate

Hello everyone!

The day before yesterday I showed you an oil painting that I had completed which was drying on my easel.

Well, today's painting is also an oil painting and it is drying on my easel today as well! I am calling this one, simply, "Strawberries On A Plate." You may recognize this image, as the reference photo for this piece was posted on Facebook during last weeks WSIPW, also known as "What Should I Paint Wednesday." Although, after the Facebook voting, the day before yesterday's painting won out, someone mentioned that the images posted on Facebook were all beautiful and that I should paint them all! So I am doing just that . . .
In my next post, I will show you the third image from last week's WSIPW. So stay tuned and enjoy!
