Hello everyone! It's January 4th, 2015 and today is Day 4 of my 30 Painting's in 30 Days Painting Challenge!

My theme for this 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge is "Every and Anything" and over the next 26 days I will be painting every and anything from landscapes, to pet portraits; from people portraits, to still lifes; and so forth! (To learn more about why I chose this theme click HERE.)

I think today's painting, might be one of my favorites, I love the brightness of the colors of the peaches, and the crisp shadows, as well.

Day 1: 30 in 30: Every and Anything Series

Well hello there! It's January 1st, 2015 and thus begins another 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge! And I'm so super excited! But first off I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! May you have many blessings and peace in this New Year 2015!

So far, this is my fourth challenge, and I usually do a theme when I do these challenges: In my first challenge, I did "Kaleidoscopic Snowflakes". In my second challenge, I did "Animals and Wildlife", and in my last challenge, I did "Still Lifes of Metal and Glass."

My theme for this 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge, however, will be "Every and Anything"

Over the next 30 days, I will be painting every and anything from landscapes, to pet portraits; from people portraits, to still lifes; and so forth! (To learn more about why I chose this theme click HERE.)

Day 1's painting is a beautiful, colorful still life, featuring bright red peppers with a greenish blue cup/bowl. I really love the colors in this one and the brightness of the peppers. This painting would look great in anyone's kitchen!

Today marks the thirteenth day of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge! And I am super pleased and excited to present to you my thirteenth oil painting for the challenge titled "Lemons in Copper Bowl" !

"Lemons in Copper Bowl" is the thirteenth oil painting still life in my "Metal and Glass" series. Over the next 17 days, all of the subject matters for my paintings will consist of either metal or glass or both. I'm posting this one a little more (well A LOT more) later in the day than when I usually post. That's because I've been battling a cold and have been feeling somewhat under the weather. I don't think it's the flu as I don't have a temperature, but last night I couldn't keep my dinner down.

Any way, Though I posted late, I do thank you for visiting my blog today! I'm not feeling too great but I'm hoping that I can keep up with the rest of the challenge anyway.

Today marks the seventh day of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge! And I am super pleased and excited to present to you my seventh oil painting for the challenge titled "Strawberries in Silver Bowl with Glass!

"Strawberries in Silver Bowl with Glass" is the seventh oil painting still life in my "Metal and Glass" series. Over the next 23 days, all of the subject matters for my paintings will consist of either metal or glass or both. Wow! It's amazing: Today completes the first week of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge. So far, I'm hanging in there and haven't missed a day! :)

The kids going back to school has really helped! I can get some painting time in when they are in school during the weekdays. And that has helped a lot!

But the girls like to paint too! Last night we were all up until 11:00 p.m. listening to music, dancing and painting in the basement of our new home! :)

They are really sweet, kind, smart, talented and beautiful girls and I feel so blessed to be their mommy! It truly is a blessing!

Today marks the fourth day of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge! And I am super pleased and excited to present to you my fourth oil painting for the challenge titled "Copper Bowl, Teapot & Glass"!

"Copper Bowl, Teapot & Glass" is the fourth oil painting still life in my "Metal and Glass" series. Over the next 26 days, all of the subject matters for my paintings will consist of either metal or glass or both. To learn more about why I chose "Metal and Glass" as my theme for the challenge click here!

I think that I like the limited color palette in this one. It's somewhat bright and sunny on one side, yet a little dark on the other. I also like the shadows created by the objects.

Over the recent days in this 30 in 30 challenge, I've been trying to discuss at least one good thing that I like about each of my paintings. I'm still learning and developing, as an artist, but I find that taking time to discuss the good things about something, leads to self-confidence, and in my case better paintings! :)
