Day 6: 30 in 30: Every and Anything Series

"Three Green Pears" Pastel on Illustration Board, 8"x10", Original Painting FOR SALE: $75 + $10.95 S&H

Hello everyone! It's January 6th, 2015 and today is Day 6 of my 30 Painting's in 30 Days Painting Challenge!

My theme for this 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge is "Every and Anything" and over the next 24 days I will be painting every and anything from landscapes, to pet portraits; from people portraits, to still lifes; and so forth! (To learn more about why I chose this theme click HERE.)

Today's painting is a still life of three green pears, done in pastels. I did a similar one, just like it for an art show at the Creative Wellness Center, Mental Health Association of Rochester, NY. You can see that one here:

"Three Pears" Pastel on Illustration Board, 8"x10", Original Painting FOR SALE: $75 + $10.95 S&H

Both paintings were a lot of fun to do. I truly enjoy using pastels, and especially when drawing fruit!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy today's painting!

I'm going to be taking some photos of my three little girls over the next couple of days, so I think I'll be doing a couple of their portraits during the 30 in 30, soon, as well.

Tomorrow, for Day 7's 30 in 30, I will be unveiling another "Every and Anything"  painting. However, I'm not sure what it will be. But if you wanna know, stay tuned . . .

'Til later fellow art lovers! Take care, and God bless!

So far, this is my fourth challenge, and I usually do a theme when I do these challenges: In my first challenge, I did "Kaleidoscopic Snowflakes". In my second challenge, I did "Animals and Wildlife", and in my last challenge, I did "Still Lifes of Metal and Glass."

My theme for this 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge, however, will be "Every and Anything"

Guess What?

"Beyond the Mountains" Oil on Canvas, 8"x10", Original Painting , $25+$10.95 Shipping & Handling

Hello all!

Yesterday I mentioned that I would be showing you some of the paintings that I have been painting over the summer, particularly, the ones from our old address. Well, as you can see above, I kept my promise. The painting above is a beautiful romantic scene, filled with blue and green mountains reflected upon a quiet river which can be seen just past the top of the trees.

I love the colors in this one, and I love the spec of yellow in the clouds, creating just a tiny hint of the sun peeking through, on a cloudy day.

I had such fun painting this one, as well, and I really think that I have to get back into doing landscapes. I used to do a lot of them when I was younger, and they were my favorite kind of painting to do at some point.

In other news . . . Guess what?

What? Well, I'll tell you! Just not in today's blog post! :) :) :) :) HA HA HA he he he!

Sooooo. . . stay tuned to see tomorrows post if you wanna know what!

Until then, "Til later, fellow art lovers!

Two WSIPW Oil Paintings

Original Painting: "Spilt out Cherries":
 8"x10"- Oil on Canvas,  $75+$6.95 S&H USD

Hello everyone!

In my last blog post I mentioned how someone said that all of  the images posted on Facebook during the week before last's WSIPW (What Should I Paint Wednesday) were all beautiful and that I should paint them all. I also told you that I intended to follow that person's advice, and that I would paint them all. So far I've only showed you two of the paintings which were inspired from the week before's WSIPW. Today, however, I am showing you the last and third painting from that week. And as you can see above, it's also a still life oil painting, just like all of my other recent paintings, lately.

Now last week, I posted three new images on Facebook for WSIPW, as well, and after the voting on Facebook, the photograph which inspired this painting below won out!

Original Painting: "Apple, Book, & Leaves":
 8"x10"- Oil on Canvas,  $75+$6.95 S&H USD

Now, today is week 6's WSIPW. So please be sure to do your voting on Facebook today. And then stay tuned to see which image gets selected as the reference photo that I will use to paint from.

I hope you enjoy!

'Til later fellow art lovers!
