3rd Pittsford Home Portrait in my Pittsford Home Series, Part I

Hello, and thank you very kindly for visiting my blog today! I sure hope that you are having a great Friday and that you will have an even better weekend! :)

I'm just posting this Friday morning, today, in order to show you a quick sketch of a a home that I started in pastel. Please see below:

Sketch of 3rd Pittsford Home Portrait in my" Pittsford Home Series"

And this photo is the photo that I am using as a reference to draw inspiration from, though I don't think that I like the white sky . . . Hmmm . . . I think I'll blue it up a 'lil. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

In my next blog post I'll show you some more drawings of how this painting is progressing.  I've already begun laying out some color and it is coming out pretty well. You'll see in my next blog post. Until then, 'til later fellow art lovers! Enjoy!

  1. Hey There Samara,

Can't wait to see the progress you make on this 3rd house painting. Are these houses all in the same neighborhood? Looks like a very pretty place.
I agree about the white sky. :o)

    Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
    Happy Painting to You.

(p.s. I'm keeping my fingers crossed regarding your new spoonflower fabric...sometimes it can be slow...lots of networking is helpful....anyways, you'll have to let us know when some of the fabric starts selling . :o)

    1. Hi Joan!

Thanks. Yes, all of these homes are in the same neighborhood on the same street. The red home in the first post is my next door neighbors house.

I haven't had much luck yet with spoonflower, been kind of slow as you said but, I'm still hopeful. I will definitely let you know if any starts to sell. :)

I just left a comment on your blog this afternoon. Loved your post!

      Have a great weekend!
