Day 6 of 30 in 30 Painting Challenge: Animals: Sip of Water

Hello everyone! Just posting today's painting for the 30 in 30. This one was actually completed several weeks ago. I did about 10 paintings ahead of time before the challenge so that I would have something to post on days that I would be too busy to paint. Today is one of those type of days. I know, it's kinda cheating a 'lil but Leslie Saeta says that there are no rules: just have fun and post as often as you can.

Anyhoo, this is my painting. I loooooove how this one came out. I think that I was able to capture a lot of detail (which is not always so easy with pastel, since it is such a soft medium).

    Missed this one! Wonderful head and snout on this fellow! (Also, great idea to paint ahead! Maybe next time I'll do that!)

      Thanks Cindy! Yes, painting ahead has been very helpful! :) I've been enjoying your beautiful creatures as well. They really do look like something you'd see in an animated movie from Disney or Dreamworks! You are very talented! :)
