Good morning!
Day 15 of the January Leslie Saeta 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge is finally here! And do you know what that means? . . . You guessed it: That means I'm halfway through the challenge! Yaaaaaaaaay! So excited!
I found the photo of this little guy on 'Paint my Photo' and decided to draw him in pastel for today's post.  He's a cute little bird, just hanging out in the snow, on a nice little branch, in the middle of winter.
As suggested by Joan, of Art is a Rhapsody Treasure, I recently asked my three little ones, what animals they thought that I should paint next. And Miriam, said that I should paint some birds. Faith and Sephora?, well you'll just have to wait and see what they said in my next upcoming blog posts, because I will be painting their suggestions!
Anyway, thanks so much for visiting my blog today! I wish you all a very happy Wednesday!
'Til later, fellow art lovers!
A Look Back on the 30 Day Painting Challenge: Animals

  1. This little birdie is SO cute. I can see all the feathery details, too. I love the softness as well. I like Miriam's (very pretty name, BTW) suggestion to paint a bird.

I love birds! My husband teases me and calls me "Bird Woman", because I feed the birds so much. When my daughter was a little girl, she participated in a university study and reported the bird activity in our yard. It was a lot of fun. I think that is when I appreciated birds even more and to this day, just love watching them. They are so little and precious, and their colors and markings are beautiful. Have fun with Day #16!

    1. Thanks so much Joan! I had a lot of fun painting him. Thanks so much for your kind words! :)

  2. Sweet little bird with such pretty coloring! Lovely work with the feathers too!

  3. Beautiful work, Sam! Can't wait to see what your little ones have in mind for your future paintings. They've all been so pretty--great work!

  4. Your little bird looks great! I have missed a few of your painting Sam, I am enjoying catching up on your blog. I am looking forward to seeing the paintings your daughters suggested.and will be checking back again soon
