Day 2 of 30 in 30 Painting Challenge: Animals: Lady Lioness

Hello everyone!

It's Day Two of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days Painting Challenge and I have my 2nd animal painting for you today! This one is of a lioness in the grass, and I call her "Lady Lioness". I love the colors in this one, and I also like the sparkle in Lady Lioness' eyes. I had a lot of fun drawing her and the girls have been really enjoying my newfound journey painting animals, especially Miriam. They love going down to the basement, visiting me in the studio, in the morning, a lot, eager to see what animal paintings I've created while they were sleeping. They are really proud of their mommy and they think it's really cool to have a mommy who is an artist. Several months ago Miriam even asked me, "Mommy, are you famous?" Hillarious! No, I'm not famous, but I can tell that she is really proud of her mom and I love the look of love and pride in her eyes when she looks at me. Such a beautiful thing. It is a good feeling to be loved. I love my three little girls, and it's such a great feeling to be loved back. God bless them, my three beautiful princesses. My husband and I are truly blessed to have them! :)

    Lovely lioness! The one at the zoo here in Portland recently had 3 little cubs - they are so sweet and fun to watch. I will be watching your animal series :)

    Hey There Samara,

    What a lovely post. I truly enjoyed reading about how very excited your girls are to see your daily paintings each day! What a joy for sure!! ( I absolutely LOVE being a Mom! )

    This Lioness is stunning. I especially love the beautiful expression on her face. When my husband and I were first married, I decorated our apartment with lots of lions, tigers, leopards, etc. Wild cats are one of my very favorite animals. They are just so beautiful. (But then there are SO many beautiful animals out there!! )

    Have fun with the 30 in 30!

      Hey Joan!

      Yes, I know. We live in such a beautiful intricate world full of so many beautiful animals from the tiniest ant to the largest elephant. It truly is amazing! God is so talented, and I feel so blessed that, as an artist, God has given me the ability to create too, in a small way, of course nothing as great as Him, but still in a tiny way. We are truly blessed to be artists. The ability that He has given me, is one of the reasons I know that He loves and values me. Such a blessing. :)
