That taken care of, I Just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Veronica Weider over at the Mental Health Association of Rochester. She has had a little over a dozen of my paintings on display in the art gallery over there for over a year and I was thankful to learn recently that she had sold one of my original paintings. I want to thank her because she's been very supportive of my art career and she has especially been a big fan of the paintings that I have painted of my little ones often telling me that "I've been able to capture their (my little ones) souls" in my paintings. I recently went to pick up most of the paintings, a few weeks ago, but she was kind enough to keep a few, still on display, since she loves them so much. The painting that she sold went to a church in the nearby Cornhill area, of Rochester, NY. I just want to give a huge thank you to Veronica Weider as well as the church who purchased the painting. Below is the painting that sold. I hope you enjoy!
'Til later fellow art lovers!

Just stopping by to make sure your saw my reply to your Day #15 painting. I wasn't sure if you noticed it.
ReplyDeleteAnd... Congratulations on Selling one of your paintings to the church! It is a beautiful painting - I love the composition and beauty you captured here. The little girl's expression is so precious.
Hello Joan!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you and that you are having a great time with the challenge!
Yes, I'm so sorry to not have gotten back to you in a timely fashion, but I did see your comment. I've just been really busy with my three little ones. Being a mom can be time demanding at times, but I love those three little girls. They make me smile and laugh every day and I couldn't picture my life without them :)
Thanks so much for your kind words about my artwork. I was just visiting your blog today. I love all of the faces. I left a comment there as well.
Yes, I really enjoy painting my children. They make the best models. It has however been a nice change to switch it up a bit with the painting challenge and to paint kaleidoscopes. A lot of people were telling me that I should paint different subjects from time to time and to not just do portraits and I'm glad I took their advice because I have been enjoying it.
Looking forward to reading your post tomorrow! :)

ReplyDeleteJust had to come back to make sure you saw my reply to your comment at my blog today regarding the one I almost tore up:
I'm not really sure how all this blog commenting stuff works and it was important to me that you know how I felt after reading your comment:
****Thank you. Actually, I printed out your words and will keep them near as a reminder that I shouldn't doubt myself. Thank you so much for all these supportive and encouraging words, they really mean a lot and I appreciate you taking the time to leave such lovely comments. This is truly special. *****
Thanks. That's so kind of you Joan. I left a few comments on your blog today as well. Great painting for Day 19! Love your work!
